The project consists of an environmental impact assessment of an open pit gypsum mine. This study includes: The study includes :
- Description of the current state of the concession and its surroundings, and of the natural features and resources likely to be affected by the project.
- Geological and structural characterization of the study site and mapping of geological formations.
- Description of the mining exploration work carried out on site.
- Detailed description of the project and presentation of the method and operations of exploitation by proposing plans of exploitation and rehabilitation in conformity with the environmental standards and Digital Terrain Models ” DTM ” illustrating and describing the various stages of the exploitation.
- Estimate of exploitable reserves and the life span of the mine under study.
- Realization of the shooting plans in accordance with the heights of the fronts in the operations of exploitation.
- Description and analysis of the crushing process of the raw product (extracted gypsum).
- Analysis of the foreseeable direct and indirect effects of the project on the environment.
- Listing of all measures envisaged to eliminate, reduce and compensate for the harmful effects on the environment and an estimate of the corresponding costs.
- Establishment of the Environmental Management Plan (EMP).
